Landscape irrigation technician is an entry-level course dedicated to the installation,
maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. The course prepares learners to become certified landscape irrigation technicians with practical applications to support the learner in preparation for the certification exam. The program covers basic irrigation, electrical, and hydraulic principles by demonstrating efficient water management, adding job credibility, and increasing job opportunities.

The Landscape Irrigation Technician (LIT) is a field technician who installs, maintains, and repairs irrigation systems. LIT training program a year-long course where trainees will obtain knowledge on how-to:

  • cut and join pipe, know the limitations of different piping systems, and understand basic hydraulics.
  • layout and install piping and water delivery components; backflow prevention components; mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical irrigation controls; and other irrigation system components.
  • troubleshoot and repair irrigation components and systems.
